Velvet Revolver's Scott Weiland Considers Memoir

Reformed rockers and autobiographies go together like nouveau rockers and rehab. With memoirs by Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, Dave Navarro, and Slash already on bookstore shelves, Velvet Revolver/Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland is next at bat.

Weiland, 40, said he would collaborate on the project with David Ritz who has co-written autobiographies for the likes of Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and most recently Don Rickles.

Weiland has been reluctant to begin penning his diary of a former dope fiend, but bandmate Slash has advised him, "Just jump in, and once you get going you can't stop." We're not sure if he's referring to the memoir or the drugs.
